NPA Highlights Scholars' Impact

Across the nation, the life sciences research community will honor postdoctoral scholars during National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW), which will take place September 16-20. Sponsored by the National Postdoc Association (NPA) since 2009, NPAW highlights the significant contributions postdoctoral scholars make to U.S. research and innovation. This year’s theme focuses on empowering postdocs to self-advocate and navigate their careers, both in theory and practice.

On Monday, September 16, the NPA will kick off the week with a virtual event featuring Rashada Alexander, PhD, Director of the AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowships program. In addition, the NPA's Postdoc Council will host a town hall on Thursday, September 19. Postdocs can check with their postdoc office leaders for local events and visit the NPAW webpage for virtual events open to postdocs worldwide.
