Recent dialogue in Washington on fetal tissue research renewed interest in the development and utility of humanized mouse models in research, but most of the available information is directed to a scientific audience.

Seeing the gap, FASEB developed the “Humanized Mouse Models: Using Human Cells to Conquer Disease” fact sheet that highlights the advantages and limitations of this research model. This new resource will bolster FASEB’s broader advocacy efforts regarding the important role of animal models in scientific discovery.

The humanized mouse models fact sheet along with other FASEB educational and advocacy materials for animal research issues can be accessed here.
