The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) is hosting a free Virtual Career Expo on November 2 between 11 am and 5 pm ET. The expo will include several one-hour sessions that focus on career areas outside of academia to highlight the diverse opportunities available to today’s biomedical researchers. Speakers have been invited from industry, government, science communications, science policy, and other careers.

Each session will be comprised of five or more professionals in each sector, and each professional will be in a separate breakout room. Participants are welcome to navigate between breakout rooms freely to tailor their expo experience to their specific career interests and engage in one or more small group conversations with the professionals of their choosing. The sessions will feature speakers from a variety of employers, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Research!America, Elsevier, Merck, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and more (view full list of speakers).

Registration for the Virtual Career Expo is currently open for all five sessions. Registrants do not have to be an ASBMB member to attend.
