2023 DataWorks! Prize to Incentivize Data Sharing Best Practices
By: Yvette SegerWednesday, July 26, 2023
For the second consecutive year, FASEB has partnered with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Data Science Strategy (ODSS) to offer the DataWorks! Prize to recognize biological and biomedical research teams that integrate data sharing and reuse to advance human health. For 2023, the prize specifically seeks to incentivize the development of best practices and strategies for data sharing and reuse, with the ultimate goal of creating a library of best practice methods that can be adopted by the broader research community. An NIH Guide Notice detailing this opportunity—a prize purse of up to $500,000 offered through the U.S. Government’s Challenge mechanism—was published on July 12.
Additional details about the 2023 DataWorks! Prize, including submission guidelines and instructions, as well as judging criteria can be found here. To be considered for the 2023 DataWorks! Prize competition, submissions must be received by August 15, 11:59 pm ET.
