FASEB Webinar - Animal Research Regulations - Understanding Federal Oversight Mechanisms (Part 1)

FASEB will be presenting a two-part webinar series on animal research regulations. Part one, entitled “Animal Research Regulations – Understanding Federal Oversight Mechanisms” will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 2:00 PM (ET). Speakers will provide an overview on the federal laws that protect laboratory animals, including the Animal Welfare Act and Public Health Service Policy. The webinar will also discuss the mechanisms by which federal agencies—NIH, USDA, and the Department of Veterans Affairs—implement and enforce these regulations. Presenters include Patricia Brown, VMD, MS, Director of the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW), Tanya Tims, DMV, Superviory Veterinary Medical Officer of USDA APHIS Animal Care and Alice Huan, PhD, Scientist and Deputy for IACUC Guidance for the Office of the Chief Veterinary Medical Officer (CVMO), Department of Veterans Affaris.
