FASEB Urges HHS to Rescind Trump Era Policies Overseeing Human Fetal Tissue Research

In a recent letter to Xavier Becerra, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, FASEB requested annulment of policies implemented by the Trump Administration that severely restricted research involving human fetal tissue. The letter highlights the immediate chilling effect of these policies on research critical for the  development of vaccines, treatments for chronic diseases, and understanding of fetal medicine.
