FASEB Submits Feedback to OSTP on Data Repositories

On March 13, FASEB responded to the Request for Comments (RFC) issued by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) seeking input on desirable characteristics of data repositories used to locate, manage, share, and utilize data resulting from federally funded research. In its comments, FASEB reiterated its prior statements and positions on core issues of interest to our member societies, including 1) coordination and harmonization of data policies across federal agencies, 2) long-term sustainability of data management, and 3) data accessibility while upholding the standards of scientific peer review.
