FASEB Submits Feedback on Proposed Updates to NSF Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide

On July 29, FASEB submitted comments to the National Science Foundation (NSF) on proposed updates to its Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG), a compilation of documents to help researchers prepare and submit research proposals for NSF grant support as well as policies and procedures associated with award administration. In its comments, FASEB highlighted NSF’s efforts to streamline administrative effort associated with proposals and awards, clarify expectations for reporting research support from international sources, and commitment to responsible and ethical conduct of research. To reduce confusion, particularly among investigators with support from multiple U.S. funding agency, FASEB encouraged NSF to include additional details about NSF-approved formats for investigator biosketches.
