FASEB Submits Comments to DHS Opposing Proposed Rule Change for F and J Visas

On October 15, FASEB submitted a response to the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) notice of proposed rulemaking (DHS Docket No. ICEB-2019-0006) regarding F and J visa programs, which affects international students and scholars. FASEB urged DHS not to proceed with the proposed rule change, emphasizing that this will stifle innovation and increase administrative and financial burdens for international researchers, who play essential roles in U.S. biomedical research.
