FASEB Submits Comments on ARPA-H Proposal in Cures 2.0 Bill

FASEB sent a letter to Representatives Diana DeGette (D-CO) and Fred Upton (R-MI) commenting on the creation of a new Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) as proposed in the draft version of the 21st Century Cures Act 2.0 bill. The letter noted ARPA-H should work closely with other federal research agencies to ensure coordination of efforts, funded projects should focus on addressing health disparities, and a strong effort should be made to recruit employees from diverse backgrounds to fill key roles within the agency.
