FASEB Statement on Senate's Support for Nonhuman Primate Research

FASEB applauds the Senate Labor, Health and Human Services (LHHS) Appropriations Subcommittee for including $30 million for nonhuman primate (NHP) research in its fiscal year (FY) 2024 spending bill. The funding will help expand, remodel, and renovate research facilities, an essential step toward increasing primate capacity in the U.S. and reducing our dependence on foreign imports. FASEB strongly encourages Congress to include this funding in the final FY 2024 NIH appropriations package.
