On March 6, FASEB is launching a webinar series to raise awareness about the rapidly evolving biomedical research workforce landscape. The webinar series discussion will focus on ensuring doctoral and postdoctoral training aligns with the broad professional opportunities within and beyond academia, strengthening the U.S. scientific enterprise by maximizing talent and career pathways.

The first webinar, “Empowering Graduate and Postdoc Success Through Effective Mentorship,” scheduled for March 6 at 1 pm ET, will feature Angela Byars-Winston, PhD, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars play a crucial role in scientific research but often experience inconsistent mentorship and limited professional development. Byars-Winston will share evidence-based mentorship practices to help participants build strong, sustainable mentoring relationships.

Registration for the first webinar is available here

Future webinars in the series include “Crafting Your Postdoc Path: Why Pursue One & How to Design It” on April 29 and “Take Charge of Your Research Training: Supporting Career Development using IDPs” on June 12.
