In partnership with the NIH Office of Data Science Strategy, last month FASEB launched the third DataWorks! Prize, offering up to $500,000 in cash awards.

The DataWorks! Prize aims to support data sharing and reuse in the biological and biomedical communities. The 2024 Prize will recognize and reward research teams that propose and execute innovative secondary analyses and data reuse to generate novel scientific findings. Additionally, the competition seeks to create a valuable set of case studies and examples for use by the broader research community.

Submissions will be accepted until October 23, with award decisions announced in the summer of 2025.

The DataWorks! Prize is a team challenge open to anyone aged 18 or older. Team leads must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. International researchers may participate as team members under a U.S.-based lead. To learn more about the prize and submit an entry, visit www.herox.com/dataworks.
