By: Yvette SegerWednesday, August 21, 2024
To assist researchers preparing applications for the forthcoming National Institutes of Health (NIH) R01 grant deadline, the next DataWorks! Salon will highlight data management and sharing expenditures that can and cannot be incorporated into the grant budget. Scheduled for September 12, 1–2 pm ET, the salon will feature brief presentations followed by robust discussion and a question-and-answer period with attendees. Speakers include Michelle Bulls, Director, NIH Office of Policy for Extramural Research Administration; Ellen Wann, PhD, Health Science Policy Analyst, NIH Office of Science Policy; and John Borghi, PhD, SADR/CTSA Data Management Project Manager, Stanford University.
While the content of this salon will focus on the NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy, much of the discussion will be broadly applicable to anyone seeking guidance regarding what and how to budget for data management and sharing within their research team or department. The salon will supplement other DataWorks! resources, including Help Desk how-to guides to ensure compliance with agency policies and implement strategies and tools to facilitate data management and sharing within their research team.
