Felicia Ebot Ojong

Felicia Ebot Ojong is pursuing her doctorate in genetics at the University of Georgia. Originally from Cameroon, her research is focused on unraveling the mechanisms that regulate facultative heterochromatin in the model fungus Neurospora crassa. Apart from her academic pursuits, she finds solace in spending quality time with her family, exploring new destinations through travel, and immersing herself in outdoor activities. 

Use of award: Weekend childcare expenses to conduct experiments needed to finish my doctoral degree and to finish writing my dissertation.
