Ayobami Obisesan

Ayobami Obisesan, DVM, MS, is a second-year student in the biomedical sciences doctorate program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Before she arrived in the United States, she obtained a doctorate in veterinary medicine and a master of science in veterinary pharmacology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She was a research assistant at the Cardio-Renal Laboratory at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

She is a graduate research assistant at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Outside of her study and research work, she enjoys spending time with her son.

Use of award: Childcare expenses to attend the American Physiology Summit 2025 and weekend childcare expenses to cover protected laboratory and research time for grant proposal submission.

Ayobami Obisesan is a member of American Physiological Society, a FASEB member society.
