FASEB Submits Comments on Proposed Updates to NSF PAPPG

On February 4, FASEB submitted comments to the National Science Foundation (NSF) expressing support for proposed updates to its Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) and the clear manner in which proposed changes are communicated to the agency’s stakeholders. FASEB’s comments acknowledged the agency’s efforts to improve accessibility of NSF processes among individuals with disabilities, specifically the requirement to include descriptive alternative text for images, graphs, and charts, and utilize machine readable formats. FASEB also expressed support for updates to foster the next generation of researchers through the expansion of the mentoring plan requirement to graduate students and awareness of the Education and Training Application.
