FASEB Statement on NIH Funding in the Draft FY 2027 Labor-HHS Appropriations Bill

FASEB issued a statement expressing appreciation for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding that was included in the fiscal year (FY) 2027 Labor, Health and Human Services bill approved by the House Appropriations Committee on June 9. The FASEB statement also urged Congress to provide at least $51.3 billion for NIH’s base program level and noted the federation looks forward to working with lawmakers in a bipartisan manner to secure robust funding for biomedical research in the final FY 2027 appropriations package.
