FASEB Statement on Cuts to NIH F&A Costs

FASEB issued a statement urging the administration to immediately rescind the February 7 announcement imposing a 15 percent rate to Facilities and Administration (F&A) costs on research grants funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). FASEB noted that this draconian approach will slow progress towards life-saving research, impede health care delivery, reduce training of the next generation of scientists, and negatively affect local economies.
