FASEB Announces FASEB Cancer, a New Journal Advancing Discovery Across Cancer Science
Tuesday, July 28, 2026The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) is pleased to announce the development of FASEB Cancer, a new scholarly journal dedicated to advancing impactful research across the biological and biomedical ecosystem of cancer science.
Joining the broader FASEB Publications family, which includes The FASEB Journal and FASEB BioAdvances, FASEB Cancer will expand FASEB’s commitment to publishing rigorous, community-driven research that advances scientific discovery and improves human health.
As cancer research continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace, scientific discovery increasingly depends on collaboration across disciplines—from basic biology to translational research, epidemiology, and clinical investigation. FASEB Cancer is being developed to provide a rigorous, interdisciplinary publishing venue for research that deepens our understanding of cancer biology and accelerates progress toward improved prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
“Science doesn’t end when the work is done—it begins when the work is shared. Cancer remains one of the most complex and urgent scientific challenges of our time, and meaningful progress depends on bringing together discovery across disciplines” said Tammy Hanna, PhD, Chief Publishing Officer of FASEB. “FASEB Cancer will provide a rigorous, interdisciplinary home for cancer research within a federation committed to advancing scientific discovery and supporting the researchers shaping the future of cancer science.”
Editor-in-Chief Search Underway
FASEB has convened an Editor-in-Chief Search Committee to identify the founding editorial leader for FASEB Cancer. The inaugural Editor-in-Chief will play a central role in shaping the journal’s scientific vision, editorial standards, and scope within the cancer research community.
FASEB welcomes expressions of interest, nominations, and recommendations from established leaders in cancer research, translational science, and clinical oncology.
Researchers interested in learning more about the Editor-in-Chief opportunity or being considered for the role are encouraged to fill out this form indicating interest by August 10, 2026.
Additional details regarding the journal’s editorial leadership, launch timeline, scope, and submission opportunities will be announced in the coming months.
