Applications Open for 2026–2027 FASEB LEAD Program
Monday, August 17, 2026FASEB is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 cohort of FASEB LEAD, a bidirectional mentoring program that connects professionals across career stages, roles, organizations, and backgrounds.
Through one-on-one mentoring partnerships, LEAD participants exchange personal views and workplace perspectives in an open, respectful, confidential, and trusting environment. Both participants serve as learners and contributors, bringing their experiences and perspectives to conversations that promote professional growth, strengthen leadership skills, and enhance decision-making.
The program includes participants from across the biological and biomedical research community, including early-career researchers, society staff, and senior-level professionals. Mentoring partners are matched based on their professional goals, interests, and the perspectives they hope to gain or share.
Program Structure
The 12-month program will begin with a virtual orientation in November 2026. Mentoring partners will meet virtually at least once a month from December 2026 through November 2027 and participate in periodic cohort activities throughout the year. Participants will also develop a Mentoring Partnership Agreement to establish shared expectations, goals, and communication practices.
