Kavita Rawat, MSc, PhD

Kavita Rawat, MSc, PhD, is a research scientist in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. She earned her PhD in biological sciences from India and joined Dartmouth College as a postdoctoral fellow in 2019. Her current research centers around investigating the involvement of natural antibodies in immune surveillance during cancer development, as well as enhancing the immune responses against tumors by licensing antigen presenting cells. Outside the laboratory, Rawat enjoys dedicating her time to her three-year-old daughter.

Use of Award: Childcare and accommodation expenses to acquire critical preliminary data for a proposal in lymphatics imaging and to learn techniques for developing specific BCR transgenic.

Rawat is a member of American Association of Immunologists, a FASEB member society.
