FASEB Encouraged By Presidential Candidates’ Views on Science Issues

September 13, 2016

The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) thanks Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, and Jill Stein for responding to America’s Top 20 Science, Engineering, Tech, Health & Environmental Issues in 2016 for ScienceDebate.org.

“These issues aren’t just important for scientists, they affect every American,” said FASEB President Hudson H. Freeze, PhD. “We appreciate that the candidates took time to provide answers to questions that matter to the health and well-being of the American people,” he said.

Freeze added, “This is a great start. Given the importance of these issues, we look forward to hearing more detail from the candidates in the days to come.”

The 20 questions posed to the presidential candidates covered issues ranging from science education and funding to cybersecurity and energy sustainability. FASEB has supported the ScienceDebate.org initiative since its inception in 2008.
